This game has a Timed & Un-Timed mode. 63 Levels I Have owned this game for awhile now & have just finished playing for the second time in timed mode.
I completed the un-timed mode first, which had me addicted from very 1st level its not an overly hard game but some levels test your strategy (HINT) Re think your building positions You have several islands to build & re-build Cabins, cottages.villa's mansions ect. With happiness levels to obtain with gardens to statues & resource production sawmills workshops yadayadayada.
The only part that really annoyed me to the point of ripping my ears off was The Market Guy constantly repeating ' NEW OFFER' and when you have 7 of them trapped in by a pirates ransom ' omg.' That would be the only annoying factor of the game.
I know there is a lot of these games, I personally become frustrated with some of the others and lose interest BUT Royal Envoy is defiantly worth owning! Huge Thanks to the Creators and Big Fish. For one, there are all sorts of neat things to click on just in the opening pictures. They really spent a lot of work on this. Things react to what you do and your not even playing the game yet. I spent time just making their eyes move and laughed at making the bird chirp. I missed this in the second version.
My second favorite thing is that once you finish with all gold you get to play it again on a harder level. I hope they come out with many more of these! Each level comes with specific tasks that must be completed to move to the next island. Tasks might include building certain types of houses, buildings, overcome road blocks, etc.
The first time through each level I mainly got the lay of the land. You can take as long as you like to complete the tasks but the real challenge is doing the level fast enough to earn gold level status. To earn gold, you have to develop a strategy for completing the tasks in just the right order. Do you need to buy workers first or build a market or pay off the pirate? Each level requires a different mix of materials, workers, and gold.

Developing a strategy for each level is key and achieving gold is no easy feat. The graphics and chatter of the characters are delightful and the music is upbeat without being annoying. You definitely get your money's worth with Royal Envoy. If you enjoy the demo, you'll love the full version!
Royal Envoy - Rocky Island Level 4 Tasks: 3,500 Gold Before starting the fourth level on Rocky Island, we get to watch a cut scene of Cedric attempting calculate the amount of nails needed to rebuild all of the houses on Islandshire. While he does that. We'll continue on to the next town. Rocky Island is very rocky indeed, and introduces obstacles which can block the road and prevent you from accessing different parts of the map. Use your workers to clear the way, and pickup some extra building materials for your efforts. As long as you clear all the obstacles and continue to build and improve your cabins, you should have no problem completing the task and achieving gold for the level. Tip: It is best to make improvements to a house immediately after the tax collector has collected the rent.
