I'm guessing I'm one of many who got a Mio Moov 300 in the recent Harvey Norman sales, and I'm having a really hard time installing alternative GPS software on it. So hopefully this thread will have info for people to do it. You can load Windows CE on it quite easily. Simply install Mio Pocket 2.0 from here: Just follow the readme, and copy it to an SD card and insert, and it should load up. The folder should be named Cobia40064AU for the Australian version.

If anyone has any tips on how to install TomTom or iGo, please let me know. TomTom - installs fine, but only the.exe and data.chk are in the folder, and it says 'Not a valid Win CE application' when you try to run it. Nav n Go iGo 2008 - tries to install, but looks like it's trying to install to the flash memory, and it can't install because it runs out of space. Guys, In terms of iGO8 you don't need to 'install it' (via the 2577 folder) just copy the iGO8 folder onto an SD card then rename application.dat iGO8.exe in the iGO8 folder. You will find the latest full R1 version 8.0.0.55127 in this link: pass: squirrel Unrar the archive then copy the iGO8 folder onto the SD card (don't copy the 2577 folder) then rename the application.dat file to iGO8.exe and then loadup all the content folders with maps, lang, voices etc and off you go.

When 1st loaded you will need to get it to 'find' your GPS by using the autodetect feature in settings. In terms of TT7 you do need a special wince version of the exe and data.chk files. You can find that here: pass: elrincondedey The above is only a new.exe and data.chk not the full package. If you are having trouble with the cab installer let me know and I might be able to find a version that has been unpacked that will allow you to again just copy it onto the SD card. Of course the OZ map v8152059 to go with this is at: I presume that you guys will know how the crack this map, if not then let me know, it is all a bit involved. Hope all this helps regards Dazza. I got TT7 up & running last night.the file I used was described as suitable for S30 (Navman).I will look for the link again.

Password demonfatal You will also need some files from this rar. Coredll.dll ole32.dll oleaut32.dll wininet.dll winsock.dll Just stick then in your tom tom folder they will work here. I found that I didn't have enough space in c: windows for them all. Understanding the map patch procedure was a little confusing but I managed in the end.if anyone needs help with that I can step them thru it. Actually there was a pdf explaing that to.I will find that link too.I just used the map patching section of this but the rest may also be relavent. password demonfatal Thanks to Demonfatal!

Guys, I've just uploaded my wince TT7 to this link: Pass: dazza60 This is the qvga black version. Inside the Nav folder there is also a folder with the qvga blue version. Just replace the data.chk and.exe files. In terms of the 2059 map ether are several links including one in this forum at: as well as here: and as at 10 minutes ago the map was at this link: As stormynight says the map cracking procedure can be a bit confusing but if you look through all this link you will get the idea. If all else fails I can upload the keygen I use.

Weirdo do you have miopocket running? Did you download the S30 package above? Did you remove the softkb.dll file from MioAutoRun Windows Windows Keyboard on your SD card & do a hard rest to reinstall MioPocket again?

After that it should work. You then just need to add the Aussie Map.

Then you need to step thru the map registration procedure. If you get this far let me know, we can discuss the next things needed.

Cheers My problem is (I think) that I don't know how to hard reset my unit. There is a reset button but not sure if this is the 'hard reset'. I followed all the steps as per gps passion thread mentioned in post 1 but no change.

Haven't tried the s30 package yet.

A couple months ago I tried an SD version of either MioPocket or one of Jerry's Skins by inserting it into the Moto and it did not work so as you say the.exe file needs to be just right. Moto did not even recognize the microSD card. One can only wonder what the purpose of the SD slot will be.

Moto does not use the same file structures as many CE devices. I have not found a single.xml file on it.

I am not a programmer so I just grope around. I can only guess that the SD card would be for picture/music storage - perhaps to keep from cluttering up on board memory. I don't use my nav for either of those, so it's not a big deal to me. I've been toying with the idea of running Mio, but I haven't had the time to get into it.

Maybe later this week. I'll keep you posted. A couple day ago I tried MioPocket 4.0 Release 61 and still no luck. Only thing I accomplished was to get a WinCE message to Insert SD Card, but it did not recognize one when I inserted it. Actually you can see that message simply by renaming the motonavpna.exe file to something else. It then implies it will actually look at the SD card for a boot file, but it doesn't. If one was to spend some time with name changes for the boot file it might work.

I ran out of patience. Got MP running on my Navigon 7200t though. Need to get some application paths set correctly then I can say it runs nicely. I would suggest running it off a minimum of a 4GB card.
