Here's something I thought would be a little fun to try out. In Chapter 1-3, as you are heading off to fight Del Lago, head onto the dock where the boat is moored, but don't get onto the boat. Instead, get out any weapon and start shooting into the lake.
After shooting enough times, Del Lago will emerge and devour Leon, along with half the dock. If you knew that already, here's something I bet you didn't know.
It's a glitch caused by triggering the same cut-scene. Fire into the lake, but don't do it from the dock.

Wong will aid you in another cutscene once again starring the cheif. 3.At the lake monster place by the dock shoot the water with a shotgun you will hear a rumble keep doing this and there will be a cutscene.
NOTE: Do NOT do this if you haven't saved you game in the house yet!!! Here are a list of the bosses and the quickest way you can beat them:- Del Lago: No strategy other than the normal one. El Gigante: Rocket Launcher. Chief Bitores Mendez: Two or three Rocket Launcher blasts should do the trick, so unless you have an Infinite Launcher, you can only use one to speed things up. Salazar's Assistant: Freeze him using the canisters and then use a Rocket Launcher. El Gigantes: Trap one of them in the lava and use a Rocket Launcher on the other or (if you can) trap both of them in the lava. Ramon Salazar: Shoot the big eye on the large head until his weak spot (which is actually Ramon Salazar's main body) opens up and use a Rocket Launcher. IT: For the first part in the crate maze you cannot kill him. On the second part around the stone pillar use a Rocket Launcher and then shoot him with a Magnum a couple of times. Jack Krauser: For the first part when he's chasing you around the ruins, use your knife and he'll escape each little fight quicker (he uses a Flash Grenade and disappears).
For the second part when he transforms his arm, you can use a Rocket Launcher but it'll never be a one hit kill. Use your Magnum (Broken Butterfly or Killer7) on his legs and kinfe his upper body (which was previously protected by his arm) when he lowers his defences. Lord Osmund Saddler: Pack a Rocket Launcher and keep shooting the funny looking eyes on his knees. When the eye in his mouth becomes vulnerable, use the Rocket Launcher.
Ada Wong will give you the Rocket Launcher (Special) right after this instead of you having to keep fighting him for a long period of time. When she does, use it on him and make sure you miss because otherwise you're dead.

Here are a list of treasures you can combine with each other to sell them for more than you could get for them individually: Beerstein + Red Catseye + Green Catseye + Yellow Catseye = 20,000 pasentas. Elegent Mask + Red Gem + Purple Gem + Green Gem = 30,000 pasentas (I think, not entirely sure about this one) Butterfly Lamp + Red Eye + Green Eye + Blue Eye = 32,000 pasentas. Crown + Crown Jewel + Royal Insignia = Salazar Family Crown = 48,000 pasentas. Golden Lynx + Red Stone of Faith + Green Stone of Judgement + Blue Stone of treason = 40,000 pasentas. Important notes:- The Crown Jewel can only be obtained by killing Salazar's Assisstant in the sewers.

You can find two Butterfly Lamps and at least two of each colour eyes. You can find two Elegant Masks (one in the Village and on in the Castle) but you can only find one of each gem. These are all the treasures that combine, there are no others. On your first time round this is extremely difficult unless you know what your doing. First make sure you have a powerful gun a broken butterfly to get this without paying the merchant as soon as you get ashley in the castle head back past the bit where you met ada and carry on heading back through the door.
Walk forward to the fountian and turn left then check the door send ashley in then open the big chest the broken butterfly will be in that this will only have it in if you don't have the broken butterfly!! Then when your just about to face salazar talk to the merchant and get a rocket launcher if not upgrade the rifle whichever one you have then go through the door after the cutscene shoot the eye on the thing infront of you. Pull out the rocket launcher or the rifle and take aim if done right you should beat salazar with if you hit him with the rocket launcher people with the rifle shoot the thing on his shoulder and just repeat you WILL do it. You can obtain several weapons in this game for free. Here I will list the locations of these weapons: Handgun - Automatically available from the start of the game.
Shotgun - Found in the house that triggers the villager attack cut-scene in the village in 1-1. It is in the upstairs bedroom, hoisted on the wall. However, on the Easy difficulty, it is automatically available from the start of the game, like the Handgun. Punisher - Shoot 10 of the 15 Blue Medallions around the village and cemetery.
The Merchant will give you this gun for free the next time you see him. If you shoot all 15 of the Blue Medallions, you'll also get a free Firepower upgrade for the gun. Rocket Launcher - Found towards the end of 3-3, in the large room with the bridge crossing it. Cross the bridge, but instead of going through the door at the opposite end, turn left and head down the passageway in this direction. In the middle of this large room, there is a glass cabinet filled with ammo and, of course, a free Rocket Launcher.
Beware, as there are Zealots lurking in this room. Broken Butterfly - In 3-2, Leon will pass by a locked door with a high window that he mentions he may be able to get into with the help of another person.
Backtrack to this area in 4-1 when Ashley has rejoined you. Leon will give her a boost up to the window, and she will climb into the room and unlock the door. Inside the chest in this room is a free Broken Butterfly, which is well worth getting considering how expensive this excellent gun is to purchase. There are also several other goodies in this room.
Rocket Launcher (Special) - Given to you by Ada in the final battle against Saddler, once you have damaged him enough. You can only use it against Saddler. This works with all weapons that can have an upgraded capacity. After you run out of ammo when firing a weapon DON'T reload (if you have any spare ammo).
Instead, make sure you have enough money to upgrade the weapon's capacity. When you encounter the next Merchant upgrade the capacity for that weapon. The weapon will not only have an increased capacity, but you would have had it completely topped up with ammo.
So you get extra ammo when you upgrade the capacity. This is very helpful on the Professional difficulty stetting. Well if you think that Saddler is really hard. Then you aren't thinking okay. Well all you have to do is when he transforms get out the mine thrower. Launch a mine at his body when it blows up he will fall. The run up to him and hit the action button and you will stab him in the eye.
Do this about 2/3 time (easy), 5/6 (Normal). I don't know how many times on pro. Well when this is done just get the rocket that Ada will throw to you Shoot it at him while he is down then he will be dead. It isn't the end.
(Don't read on if you don't want it spoiled!!). Ada will then throw you a key to a jet ski. Then she will jump into a chopper. At this point run and get the 100,000 that Saddler drops. Then run like hell to the elevator.
Go down meet up with ashley. Run down the cave. Go down the ladder then catch Ashley. At this point run down to the Jet ski. Pushing up on the analogue stick will accelerate. And left and right on the analogue stick steers. Thats all I can tell you really.
Then you will finish the game. You will get a connction with Hunnigan. And (THIS IS A MEGA SPOILER HERE!!!) Ashley asks Leon out on a date. (Or the other way round). Well, on my data I have a chicago typewriter,with a broken butterfly,semi auto rifle and mine thrower, fully customized.
The chicago typewriter takes the place of a handgun and shotgun plus it has infinite amo allowing you to save tons of space. The mine thrower kind've takes the place of you're grenades. And the semi auto rifle is for long range shots. When you get enough cash though sell the rifle to get an infinite rocket launcher. And if you ever by some chance get really lucky and beat all mercenary games with all characters with a 5 star rating to unlock the hand cannon sell you're broken butterfly and get it. So basically you should try to get the chicago typewritter and infinite rocket launcher,with hand cannon,and mine thrower fully custom.( trust me using these items saves a ton of space, I have all the things you full you're case up with but I also have half a xl case for extra items that I may find). To avoid getting these two items, shoot the piece of wood that holds the well lid open, THEN shoot the item down from the rafters. NOTE: The 'Eye' gems are listed as 'var.' Because there is not a fixed number available. Only Novistadors will drop these, except for the meganest in Chapter 4-1, which gives 4 Green, 3 Red and 1 Blue Eye, IF you blast it down. If you gather ALL of these Treasures and don't get the dirty ones, their total value is 704,500PTAS. Throughout the game of Resident evil 4 you will come across many different animals including hawks, chickens, snakes, fish, cows and many others, you may not know that they drop some great items.
If you ever see a hawk shoot them for ammo, and money. If you come across a chicken they will drop eggs if you shoot them or just follow them around. If you find a snake stab/shoot it and it will drop an egg. And if you come across a fish in the water stab/shoot it and it will replenish health the large one will also sell for 2500 PTS and the small fish for 500 PTS but the fish also take up alot of inventory space. I do not think that cows drop anything. If I find more animal droppers I will post them here.
Do you have no money and want to get a broken butterfly? Well you don't need any money! Here's what you do. After you beat the part where you have to play as Ashley just keep on backtracking until you reach the area where you had to shoot the wine bottle.
Look around for an opening in the wall. When you find it go through it and you should find yourself in a hallway. At the end there should be a door.Keep in mind that there is another hallway in the area that isn't the right one so keep looking around for it. When you go through the door there'll be some insects in the room.
After you kill the insects proceed to the next room. The door will have a lock on it so just slash it off. You should recognize the room. Anyway turn right and go through the door. Go around the corner and you should see a door and a window above it.
Go toward the window and press 'A' Ashley will climb on the other side and unlock the door. There will be a few chests. In the big one you'll find the butterfly. If you keep looking you'll find some treasure. Handgun: always carry a handgun in case of any ammunition loss RED9: powerful, but has slower reloading than the other pistols Punisher: weak but you can blast a hole through two enemies with it, shoot ten blue medallions to get it for free off the merchant Blacktail: a pretty good pistol which has the quickest aiming Matilda: once you have this you can sell your TMP minigun as it shoots 9mm bullets with three rapid fire rounds, you must complete the game to unlock it and it's exclusive ability is to have 100 ammo. Somewhere in Chapter 4-2, you'll need to fight 2 Gigantes. If you still don't have a Handcannon or Chicago Typewriter, the easiest way to kill them without opening the floor is: take out a flash Gernade, throw it to them as they go out.
Then get some distance and throw a hand gernade. Start shooting them with the Striker, when they get too close, go to the platform where the slide thing is and shoot the m until they get too close.
The Gigante will try to knock you down, but quickly press A and you will slide. Keep shooting them until you get the parasite to comes out of one of their backs, get a magnum gun and shoot it until the Gigante gets up or the second one is too close. When that happens, go back to the slide machine and shoot until they try to shake you down. Do that repeadely until they both die. If you need to reload, do the same thing but when you slide, you reload instead of shooting.
This takes patience and alot of bullets. I hope it helped. Ever wanted to be one of those guys who activates a bomb from a distance, by shooting off your gun, well now you can, in fact you could have done it a long time ago if you thought about it hard enough. Its as simple as using a mine dart and any conventional bullet powered weapon. Simply aim to a target, fire, then quickly swap guns, aim and fire.
Not only are you dealing explosion damage, but you are also dealing damage from the weapon you fired. So it almost always causes the thing you are exploding to splatter all over the place.

It is very satisfying. Though I wouldn't recommend it on the fast-walking ganados. They get too close and in professional mode it can almost ensure a painful death. Ok, I'm tired of hearing people whine about how hard this game is, it is one of the easiest games ever made. You all whine about there not being any ammo so I'm here to help. First off, make sure you always have a handgun, ammo is best found for this, upgrade the handgun you have as much as possible. After you get to the first village spot don't go in any of the houses till after the bell rings and they all leave, then the house with the fence in the front has a shotgun up the stairs, grab it, but don't use it at all.
In this next spot of the village there are blue medallions, make sure you get every single one of them in this area. When you get the merchant for the first time, sell the shotgun and all your shotgun ammo, upgrade your pistol as much as possible, don't buy any guns, stick with only your handgun, the next place is easy with it. The next time you get to the merchant he will have a punisher, don't buy it.
In this next area are more blue medallions, after you get all of them in this are, run back to the merchant and get the free punisher, then sell it, the punisher is just an all over crappy weapon. Now, the Punisher should of sold for about 15,000, so buy a shotgun now and use the rest of your money to upgrade it's ammo. Now, you should be good for quite a while, but the first chance you get, sell your existing shotgun and buy the Riot Gun, it's the best shotgun to have, the striker is better, but the Riot Gun is so much cheaper to upgrade. This works with all weapons that can have an upgraded capacity. After you run out of ammo when firing a weapon DON'T reload (if you have any spare ammo).
